About Futura House
Restoring Classic Mid Century Modern Las Vegas One House at a Time
The founder of Futura House has been volunteering for the
Los Angeles Conservancy Modern Committee
for over ten years, is friends of the
Palms Springs Modern Committee, and a fan of all things Vintage and Retro in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Southern California
and environs beyond.
Futura House takes an active part in preserving a golden era of history and architecture, the Mid Century Modern era.
Futura House is focussed on finding gems in the rough, i.e. Mid Century Modern properties that
had not been too badly remodeled ('remuddled') or 'home depot-ized'.
(Homes where standard off-the-shelf modifications such as new oak and glass doors,
improper windows, mediterranean lighting fixtures, etc. detract from the original Modernist aesthetic of the homes.)
Futura House then takes an active hands-on approach to restoring the homes to their original glamorous appeal.
It is their wish to provide unique special properties for unique and special people to live a vintage experience.
Futura House is happy to work with other home owners of historic properties that wish to restore their homes
to fellow fans of Classic Style. Futura House is NOT a licensed property management company or contractor.
We are simply friends trying to spread the word and provide consultation services about Classic places to live for cool people.
Futura House does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, sexual orientation, age
or anything other than you MUST LOVE vintage Las Vegas history and classic retro style!
